9 STORY SECURES MULTIPLE GLOBAL DEALS FOR “FUGGET ABOUT IT”

The primetime animated comedy has secured deals with Amazon Prime Video, Comedy Central in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. It originally launched on Teletoon, becoming the number one pick for audiences aged 18-49.

9 Story Distribution International has secured multiple international sales for its primetime animated comedy "Fugget About It." “The demand for adult animation continues to rise, and we’re thrilled that Fugget About It has been part of this growth,” said Joss Duffield, VP of Distribution for 9 Story. “Fugget About It has become a cult classic in North America, and it’s exciting to see it gain momentum with European broadcasters at a time where everyone needs comedic relief.”

The broadcast deals for the adult animated show include Amazon Prime Video and Comedy Central in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. 9 Story previously announced the show's launch on Amazon Prime Video in the UK last year. It will become available in the other European regions on 5th May Comedy Central, and on 1st July on Amazon Prime Video. 

The 46 22-minute episodes were produced by 9 Story Media Group, "Fugget About It" originally launched on Teletoon at Night, and became the #1 most-watched Canadian show on the block for adults 18-49. Developed for the Teletoon at Night Pilot Project and acquired as a Hulu original series, it was created by Nicholas Tabarrok and Willem Wennekers, and developed by Jeff Abugov. Nicholas Tabarrok, Willem Wennekers, Jeff Abugov and 9 Story's Vince Commisso and Steven Jarosz serve as executive producers.

The series, which follows mobster Jimmy Falcone and his family as they are relocated to Regina under the witness protection program. Falcone was once a feared capo in the Gambini crime family, but when his associates insisted he whack his good old Uncle Cheech, Jimmy had to draw the line. Now with the mob out to kill him, Jimmy has no choice but to turn to the dark side and become a witness for the Feds. Series guest stars include Howie Mandell, Alan Thicke, Andrea Martin, and Jason Jones.
