Independent distributor All3Media International has announced the addition of over 130 hours of original Australian and New Zealand-produced drama and comedy drama to Netflix in both territories, providing a significant new window for its regional content. The slate includes seven titles now available on the platform, reinforcing the growing demand for high-quality, locally relevant storytelling in streaming lineups.

Julie Dowding, SVP Australia & New Zealand at All3Media International, commented, “We’re delighted to secure a new window in the region for these much-loved premium dramas and comedy dramas as they take their place in Netflix’s ANZ library. Maximising windowing opportunities has always been a key strategy for us, ensuring our diverse portfolio of content continues to reach new viewers and bringing ongoing value for our production partners. And in this case in particular, it means Netflix ANZ can showcase proven, locally produced hits, while viewers in the region have a new opportunity to dive into incredible content featuring relatable stories and familiar faces.”

From New Zealand, five productions from award-winning South Pacific Pictures, an All3Media company, are now streaming on Netflix. These include the first six series of the enduring detective drama “The Brokenwood Mysteries” (24 x 2-hour), as well as two seasons of “Head High” (14 x 1-hour), a family drama exploring the intersection of high-school rugby and personal ambition.

In the comedy drama space, Netflix ANZ has also launched three New Zealand titles produced by South Pacific Pictures: “Educators” (18 x 30-minute), an improvised comedy set in a secondary school; “Mean Mums” (S1–3, 24 x 30-minute), which follows a group of unconventional mothers navigating school politics; and “Step Dave” (S1–2, 26 x 1-hour), a sharp drama about a bachelor whose life is upended by an unexpected romance.

From Australia, the platform now features all three seasons (18 x 1-hour) of the critically acclaimed political thriller “Total Control,” produced by Blackfella Films. Starring Deborah Mailman and Rachel Griffiths, the series follows an Indigenous senator whose meteoric political rise is soon derailed by betrayal at the highest levels. Also newly available is “The Messenger,” produced by Lingo Pictures and based on Markus Zusak’s bestselling novel. This 8 x 1-hour drama follows Ed Kennedy (played by William McKenna), an accidental hero who is drawn into a web of intrigue after receiving cryptic messages.
