As it approaches its 20th anniversary, TeamTO is staging a bold return to the spotlight. Following its acquisition by RIVA Studios in December last year, the revitalized French studio will make a major showing at the 2025 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Under new leadership and creative direction, TeamTO is entering a new era - one that blends its rich legacy with an ambitious slate of original IP and cutting-edge proprietary tools.
STUDIO FOCUS
TeamTO’s Studio Focus on June 10th 1.30pm – 2.30pm (Impérial Palace, Salle de La Volière) will spotlight both legacy and future-forward projects. France Télévisions’ Director of Animation, Pierre Siracusa, will join TeamTO President Marco Balsamo to discuss the broadcaster’s continued support, and news related specifically to "Jade Armor" Season 2 and "Angelo Rules" Season 6.
Acclaimed directors Jay Oliva, Thierry Marchand, Slimane Aniss, and Didier Ah-Koon will also join the stage to present the studio’s expanded creative slate. The event will also mark the first time TeamTO publicly introduces its adult and 2D animation offerings.
TECH DEMO
On June 11th 4.45pm – 5.15pm (Impérial Palace, Étage 1, Rotonde de L’Europe) TeamTO’s CTO Jean-Baptiste Spieser will lead the global unveiling of the studio’s proprietary software platforms: Tangerine and Yuzu. After more than 15 years of R&D, these powerful in-house technologies used extensively on productions such as "The Creature Cases" and "Jade Armor", will now be made available for licensing.
Tangerine: A next-generation animation platform built for speed, scalability, and seamless integration. Yuzu: An animation-specific project management tool proven to increase production efficiency by up to 30%.
The public release of these tools marks TeamTO’s entry into the tech licensing space, reinforcing its role as both a creative and technology innovator.
OPEN FOR SERVICE WORK
In addition to its original content and proprietary tools, TeamTO is now actively expanding its international service work. With a legacy of delivering premium animation for global partners such as Netflix, France Télévisions, and Warner Bros., the studio is equipped to take on new co-productions, development support, and end-to-end animation services across both 2D and 3D pipelines.
