SPI International has named Bartłomiej Major as its new Director of Channels, entrusting him with the programming strategy and development of the company’s television brands. In his new role, Major will lead the strategic direction for SPI International’s extensive portfolio, which includes Kino Polska, Zoom TV, Stopklatka, FilmBox-branded channels, and DIZI. He will also focus on reinforcing internal collaboration and aligning content initiatives across teams.

In addition to his remit at SPI, Major will work closely with CANAL+ group entities to support the growth of CANAL+ operations in the Benelux region and Central Europe, aiming to build synergies and leverage shared capabilities across markets.

“With his extensive experience, deep understanding of the media industry, and knowledge gained over the years, Bartek will play a key role in driving our programming strategy and channels growth. I am confident that his expertise and fresh perspective will help us strengthen SPI International’s position and better meet the needs of viewers and business partners,” said Erwan Luherne, Managing Director at SPI International.

Major brings a wealth of experience to the position, having held senior roles in programming and channel management across multiple major networks. Prior to joining SPI, he was Programming Director at Hearst Networks for Poland and the Central and Eastern Europe region. His career also includes leadership positions at FOX Networks Group in Amsterdam and Warsaw, as well as at MTV Networks Poland, where he developed programming strategies and regional channel offerings.

His appointment is expected to reinforce SPI International’s ambitions to innovate and expand its content reach across key European markets, while aligning more closely with the overarching goals of parent company CANAL+.
