Following strong European pre-sales for the latest season of its hit investigative history franchise “Truthseekers”, Big Media has confirmed two new licensing agreements with Blue Ant Media for its premium factual lineup. Blue Ant will launch “Scanning History” (6×60’) on Smithsonian Channel in Canada in March 2026, while “Truthseekers” Season 3 (8×60’) will premiere on the Cottage Life channel in September 2026.

“The pickup of these two titles from BIG Media’s growing slate of premium factual series strengthens its ongoing partnership with Blue Ant Media, which continues to invest in our original productions across history, science, wildlife, and factual entertainment,” said Danny Wilk, President and Co-Founder of BIG Media. “Blue Ant Media is a great partner and we are dedicated to supporting their teams by providing a reliable supply of quality original content.”

“Truthseekers” Season 3 builds on the global success of its first two seasons with eight compelling new episodes that blend mythology, scientific investigation, and evidence-based exploration into some of history’s most enduring enigmas. This season examines iconic mysteries including the Loch Ness monster, Area 51, and the true story behind the legendary City of Troy. “Truthseekers” is a co-production between BIG Media and RMC Story.

“Scanning History” uncovers hidden narratives embedded in iconic artifacts, ruins, and engineering marvels through advanced scanning tools and 3D visualization. The series is a co-production between BIG Media, WildBear Entertainment, ZDF Studios, and TF1.
