Following its recent combination with MultiChoice, CANAL+ has reorganized its Brand and Communication Department to strengthen its international presence and streamline its operations across key regions. The new structure brings together activities around two major geographical divisions: Africa, and Europe/Asia.

As part of this reorganization, Hala Saab has been appointed Director of Communication for Africa. Already in charge of the group’s communication across the African continent, her responsibilities now expand to include the English- and Portuguese-speaking MultiChoice markets. She will oversee all CANAL+ communication activities throughout Africa.

Also, Armelle Masson has been appointed Director of Communication for Europe/Asia. In this role, she will lead CANAL+ communication efforts in Europe (excluding France) as well as in Vietnam and Myanmar. Both executives report directly to Emilie Pietrini, Chief Brand and Communication Officer of CANAL+.

In France, the Brand and Communication Department remains structured around two complementary divisions: Céline Pontygayot, who oversees Advertising Communication, and Olivia Abehassera, who leads Corporate and Programmes Communication.

Hala Saab is a graduate of ISC Paris with a specialization in Strategic Marketing, Hala Saab began her career as a media buyer at Mediacom. She joined CANAL+ France’s advertising sales division (CBS) in 2001, where she successively held roles as Advertising Executive, Account Director, and Head of Sponsorship and Special Operations. In 2010, she became Head of Product Communication at CANAL+ International, before being appointed Director of International Communications in 2014, supporting the group’s development in Africa, Europe, and Asia.

Meanwhile, Armelle Masson holds a Master’s degree in Media and Multimedia from Université Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne. She began her career as a consultant at Publicis Consultants, later holding Marketing and Communication positions at Lagardère and Noos. Since joining CANAL+ France in 2005, she has served in several key roles, including Advertising Communication Manager for the CANALSAT brand, Product Marketing Manager, and Editorial and Digital Manager. In 2015, she became Communication Manager at CANAL+ International, overseeing communications across the Overseas territories and Asia, as well as strategic projects focused on content and digital initiatives.
