Cineflix Rights sealed a partnership deal with “Live PD” Host/Executive Producer, Dan Abrams’ Law&Crime Productions, and Justice Network for the new crime series, “Killer Cases.” The distributor has pre-sold the series to A+E Networks Crime + Investigation channels across its EMEA territories, which include the UK, Africa, Italy, Iberia, Germany Poland, and Africa, where the series will broadcast as "Murder Masterminds." “We are delighted to be partnering with Dan’s team and Justice Network to enable the greenlight of Killer Cases,” Richard Life, Head of Acquisitions, Cineflix Rights said. “The early pre-sale to Crime + Investigation indicates the strength of such an exciting, high-quality series which will undoubtedly appeal to buyers around the world.”

The deal to acquire “Killer Cases” was negotiated by Felicia Litovitz, VP, Acquisitions, North America, and the pre-sale to A+E Networks was brokered by Kelly Hornsby, Head of Acquisitions, UK & International, A+E Networks and Sandra Piha, SVP, Sales, Pan-Regional, UK, Eire, and Scandinavia, Cineflix Rights. “Partnering with producers and broadcasters to greenlight new shows is a strategy Cineflix Rights is using more and more as it suits today’s production and commissioning environment,” Life said.

The 10 60-minute episodes of “Killer Cases” weaves together interviews and footage to uncover some of America’s most notorious murder trials. Police officers, forensic experts, witnesses, and some of the defendants themselves tell their side of the story inside the courtroom as the evidence stacks up, shortly before the final verdict is revealed.

Each case has its backstory, which includes a combination of love, sex, betrayal, and greed, which ultimately proves to be fatal. Emmy Award-winning investigative reporters, Brian Ross and Rhonda Schwartz serve as executive producers of the series. "’Killer Cases’ will leave viewers on the edge of their seats as they follow the twists and turns of each case until the final verdict," added Law&Crime Productions Founder, Dan Abrams. "We are thrilled to partner with Cineflix Rights and Justice Network to produce this show and offer viewers a window inside the courtroom drama."
