CINEFLIX RIGHTS ACQUIRES AND SIGNS PRE-SALE DEALS FOR “THE DAY WILL AND KATE GOT MARRIED”

The documentary, produced by Finestripe Productions, has been pre-sold to broadcasters in the Nordic and Auropean regions, such as TV4 in Sweden, YLE in Finland, TV2 in Denmark, NRK in Norway, and BBC Poland, with deals in other regions currently under discussion.

Cineflix Rights has signed multiple pre-sale deals with Nordic and Eastern European broadcasters for its recently acquired premium, prime time ITV documentary from Finestripe Productions, "The Day Will And Kate Got Married."“Finestripe Productions consistently delivers premium content for our buyers,” Catherine McCormick, Senior Manager, Acquisitions, Cineflix Rights, said. “They gain access to key players and unearth new stories to create high quality, blue-chip documentaries about pivotal moments in history.”

The documentary has been pre-sold to TV4 in Sweden, YLE in Finland, TV2 in Denmark, NRK in Norway, and BBC Poland. Discussions for deals in other regions are currently being held. The deals with TV4, YLE, TV2, and NRK were brokered by Sandra Piha, SVP, Sales, Pan-Regional, UK, Eire, and Scandinavia. The deal with BBC Poland was closed by Lucy Rawson, VP, Sales, Africa, CEE, Middle East, and Southern Mediterranean.

Cineflix Rights's partnership with Finestripe Productions is long-standing. Together, the two companies have sold several documentaries worldwide, which include "Diana: The Day the World Cried," "The Day We Walked on the Moon," "Inside Dior," and "The Day Kennedy Died." “'The Day Will and Kate Got Married' is a timely look at one of the highest-profile couples in the world, and we’re confident it will be equally popular with audiences globally,”  McCormick said.

Featuring exclusive interviews with family members and the creatives who made it happen, including Kate’s uncle Gary Goldsmith, royal dressmaker Daniella Helayel, cakemaker Fiona Cairns, Royal Protection Officer Graham Craker, photographer Hugo Burnand, and more—this intimate documentary allows viewers to relive all the ritual and pageantry when all eyes were on Westminster Abbey.
