CINEFLIX SELLS “WYNONNA EARP” SERIES TO NBC IN EUROPE

The supernatural series launched at MIPCOM Online+ and is set to debut across science fiction channels in Iberia, France, and Germany, among other regions.

Cineflix Rights has signed a deal with NBCUniversal International Networks, consisting of the four seasons of the supernatural series "Wynonna Earp" airing across its science fiction channels in Iberia, France, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (SYFY) and Poland and the Balkans (SCI-FI). The show launched at MIPCOM Online+. “We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with NBCUniversal International Networks with this deal for ‘Wynonna Earp’," James Durie, Head of Scripted, Cineflix Rights said. “The show is already a cult hit across North America with a huge fanbase and social media presence, and we’re excited to be rolling it out to Earpers around the world, with these deals and a launch at MIPCOM this week.”

Season Four of "Wynonna Earp" launched on SYFY US with 1.2 million multiplatform views and as the Number 1 most social program across all television, excluding sports, improving on its Season Three premiere. Wynonna Earp (Seasons 1-4, 49x60’, IDW Entertainment, Cineflix Studios, and SEVEN24 Films for SYFY US and CTV Sci-Fi Canada) is the award-winning, action-packed sci-fi hit which follows Wyatt Earp’s great-granddaughter as she battles demons and other supernatural beings.

"Wynonna Earp" took home the 2018 E! People’s Choice Award for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show. Intended for television, the series was created by showrunner Emily Andras and stars Melanie Scrofano from "Bad Blood" in the lead role alongside Tim Rozon from "Schitt’s Creek," Dominique Provost-Chalkley from "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and Katherine Barrell from "Workin’ Moms."

Wynonna Earp has been credited for its commitment with nomination for various awards including Canadian Screen Awards, GLAAD Media Awards, Directors Guild of Canada, Writers Guild of Canada, and Alberta Film & Television Awards. “‘Wynonna Earp’ is the perfect fit for our science fiction channel,” Lee Raftery, Managing Director, EMEA and Chief Marketing Officer, NBCUniversal International said. “The series has become a firm favorite amongst fans of the genre and we are excited to bring all four seasons to our enthusiastic audiences across Europe.”
