Last night’s primetime launch of the brand new reality competition "Dream Job in Paradise" (locally known as "Paradijs Zoekt Personeel") scored an impressive market share of 30% in the 18-44 target group on its VTM debut, in comparison to the market share of 23.9% (18-44, Live + VOSDAL YTD on Tuesdays) in Belgium.

The format, globally represented by Be-Entertainment, follows six duos on the adventure of a lifetime: competing to land a job as resort managers at a luxurious paradise resort. The duos are trained and tested on all aspects of the hotel industry, from front office to housekeeping, catering to dealing with guests, even including a few demanding celebrities. The duos are judged not only by an expert jury, including a hotelier and a business coach, but also by the hotel’s owners and staff. Finally, just two duos remain, and it’ll be up to the owners to choose the fortunate winners.

Says Gepke Nederlof MD of Be-Entertainment, “Now that everyone’s starting to dream about traveling again, we consider this is the perfect post-pandemic format and viewers seem to agree with us when we look at the numbers. ‘Dream Job in Paradise’ is already getting a lot of traction internationally, so we’re hoping to share more good news soon.”

"Dream Job in Paradise" was created and produced by Lecter Media, known for its successful retrotainment format "Greetings From 19XX." They represent the format rights in the Netherlands, Germany and the US. All other territories are distributed by Be-Entertainment.
