Tim Carter, Managing Director Unscripted UK, ITV Studios named Emma Gormley as the new Managing Director of MultiStory Media in a move which strategically aligns ITV Studios Daytime and MultiStory Media within one scaled label. Under Emma’s leadership, this newly aligned label will build on ITV Studios Daytime and MultiStory Media's combined reputation for current affairs, topical and live programming, premium documentaries and factual entertainment. The ITV Studios Daytime and MultiStory Media teams will be brought together under one label. This newly expanded label will be called MultiStory Media. The label will operate from bases in London, Manchester and Gateshead.

Tim Carter commented: “Emma is an exceptional leader with entrepreneurial journalism pulsing through her veins. Bringing all these brilliant current shows together under her direction in one centre of excellence is a no-brainer. It positions MultiStory as the market-leader in the UK for popular current affairs and daytime”.

Emma Gormley added: “MultiStory Media and ITV Daytime already share a huge amount of creative DNA and award-winning programmes, from live television, features and journalism, to popular factual and entertainment. I look forward to bringing hundreds of hours of high- quality television together under one roof to create a powerful, future-facing content business."

In bringing ITV Studios Daytime and MultiStory Media together, the label is perfectly set up to target new business with popular journalism at its heart including current affairs and fast-turnaround shows, contemporary documentary and factual entertainment commissions, in the broadcast, digital or podcast space. The move marks a strategic evolution for the production companies within the ITV Studios unscripted portfolio and aligns a slate that is driven by popular journalism and story-telling.

From January 2026, MultiStory Media becomes the home of live shows including "Lorraine," "This Morning," "Loose Women" and the podcast "Loose Women: Just Between Us," "The Martin Lewis Money Show" and "Peston," as well as factual entertainment series like the award-winning "Come Dine With Me," "For The Love of Dogs," "Pride of Britain Awards" and premium documentaries like "Brianna: A Mother’s Story" and "Madeleine McCann: Searching For The Prime Suspect."

Gormley’s appointment into the role as the senior lead for the label, follows Tim Carter’s promotion to Managing Director of Unscripted, UK, earlier this year. Signpost Entertainment, which produces factual, factual entertainment and inclusive programmes including Robson Green's Weekend Escapes and the BBC's See Hear, moved within MultiStory Media over a year ago.

Gormley will oversee a strong senior leadership team that includes Vivek Sharma who will have overall responsibility across "Lorraine," "This Morning" and "Loose Women;" Mike Blair, Creative Director for documentary and factual output; Simone Haywood, Creative Director, Factual Entertainment and Gareth Deighan, Creative Director, Signpost Entertainment. Alice Gairdner is named as Head of Production across the newly expanded label. Gairdner has been in production management for nearly 20 years and has led on a number of technological and sustainable firsts whilst Head of Production at Daytime and is currently overseeing the move to the new studio in Covent Garden. The senior leadership team brings a wealth of experience across both premium factual and daytime genres, ensuring MultiStory Media is well-positioned to grow.
