Fox Entertainment Global hired Liz Tang to run UK content and acquisitions, marking an expansion of the distribution arm’s London operations. Tang will spearhead content management for Fox’s U.K.-based production entities while sourcing third-party programming to bolster FEG’s global slate across scripted and unscripted formats. Fox runs Gordon Ramsay’s Studio Ramsay Global out of the UK and sells the indie’s Next Level Chef, Next Level Baker, and Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service. Also, out of the UK, FEG sells the upcoming "Best Medicine," which is based on the hit UK series "Doc Martin," and biblical drama The Faithful.

Tang arrives from Fifth Season, where she spent five years leading global acquisition and financing efforts for premium content. Before that, she had buyer roles at Sky U.K., BBC Studios, Channel 5, and Discovery Networks International, plus early career positions at Viacom’s MTV Networks and Epix spanning London and New York markets. “Liz is an accomplished and well-loved content executive with deep relationships across the industry and an exceptional eye for commercially and creatively compelling programming,” said FEG President Prentis Fraser. “Her experience with the production community and across acquisitions and programming with both broadcasters/platforms and global distribution companies, will be invaluable in supporting Fox’s expanding slate.”

Fraser joined FEG earlier this year to run global TV distribution after a lengthy spell at Fifth Season, working closely with Tang. Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade has previously said investing in international distribution is key to growing Fox’s studio and helping its network content strategy.
