Yes Studios announces that internationally renowned French actor Mélanie Laurent ("Now You See Me") will take a lead role in season 5 of "Fauda" when it begins production later this month. She will feature in seven of the nine episodes in the upcoming season alongside Lior Raz.
Based on the real-life experiences of its creators, "Fauda" follows a team of elite Israeli undercover agents as it works to apprehend terrorists. With its authentic performances and gritty, credible storylines, "Fauda" has long been acknowledged as portraying the complex Israeli-Palestinian conflict in a fresh way while opening a valuable window into the present-day Middle East.
Created by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff, the new season of "Fauda" is being helmed by Season 4 director Omri Givon ("Hostages") and written by Omri Shenhar ("Tehran"). "Fauda" is produced by yes TV and L. Benasuly Productions for yes TV. yes Studios handles the series’ international distribution.
"Fauda" season 5 is expected to premiere on yes TV in Israel in early 2026, followed by a worldwide launch on Netflix, the global home to its first four seasons.
