Fremantle appoints Shirley Bowers as SVP of Distribution in the US

The executive will be tasked with fulfilling sales for scripted and non-scripted programming across all media platforms. The former Red Arrow International worker is set to begin her tenure with Fremantle later this month.

Fremantle International recently welcomed Shirley Bowers as its new Senior Vice President of Distribution in the US. Upon settling into her new role in mid-February, the executive is set to report to Senior EVP Distribution of North America,  Lisa Honig.  “Shirley has a wealth of experience in sales and production financing across all genres,” Honig said. “She will be integral to our success in the US as we expand our co-production pipeline and continue to build our US operations. I look forward to working with her.”

Based in Los Angeles, Bowers will contribute to Fremantle’s programing sales for both scripted and non-scripted content across all media platforms. Working alongside  Lisa and Fremantle’s external partner De Maio Entertainment as Fremantle works to expand its business in the US, the executive will prioritize the continued growth acceleration in the region.

She previously worked at Red Arrow International, where she held the position of VP Sales and Acquisitions, North America, UK/Ireland & Oceania for over five years. Before that, she held the Director of Global Sales position at both Fox and National Geographic Channel.

Operating in 26 territories, the company is credited with the development of “Too Hot To Handle to Mosquito Coast,” “Game of Talents to The Hand of God,” “Farmer Wants A Wife to ‘Got Talent’,” “Family Feud to My Brilliant Friend” and “The Investigation to Arctic Drift.”
