Fremantle, Reel World, and CTV confirms a second season for "Sullivan’s Crossing"

Following the breakout success of season one, Fremantle partnered with Reel World Management, Bell Media’s CTV, and The CW for the second season of the drama series.

Fremantle, Reel World Management, and commissioning broadcaster CTV have announced that hit drama "Sullivan's Crossing" will return for a second season with The CW coming on board for the new series. Production on season two will commence this year in Canada's stunning Nova Scotia, and Fremantle will handle global distribution. The news follows the breakout success of the first season earlier this year on CTV when the series became the highest-rated Canadian drama launch in over two years. "Sullivan's Crossing" is distributed internationally by Fremantle.

"Sullivan's Crossing" was also ranked as the highest-rated Canadian drama launch on CTV in more than three years. It was consistently ranked as the number-one series in its time slot across critical demographics. "Sullivan's Crossing" season one will launch on The CW this autumn to much anticipation from US audiences. "I couldn't have asked for a more supportive team of executives and talented actors to help me accomplish my goal of creating a hit show, shot and set in Canada," Roma Roth, Executive Producer and Showrunner, said.

Based on books by #1 New York Times Bestselling author Robyn Carr, "Sullivan's Crossing" stars Morgan Kohan (Transplant, Batwoman) alongside Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill) and Scott Patterson (Gilmore Girls). Shot against the idyllic and visually arresting backdrop of Nova Scotia, Sullivan's Crossing is a series about healing, letting go, and ultimately opening yourself up to a world of new opportunities.

Season one saw Maggie Sullivan's (Morgan Kohan) life thrown into turmoil when she was forced to leave her career in Boston, along with her boyfriend, Andrew (Allan Hawco), to take refuge in Sullivan's Crossing, the Nova Scotia campground run by her estranged father, Sully Sullivan (Scott Patterson). There, she tried to navigate her complicated present and painful past while dealing with her on-again-off-again feelings for Cal Jones (Chad Michael Murray), the mysterious stranger helping her father. All this while struggling to choose between a life in Boston and Sullivan's Crossing.

From executive producers Roma Roth and Christopher E. Perry, the team behind the hit series "Virgin River," "Sullivan's Crossing" season two is executive produced by Reel World Management in association with CTV, The CW, and Fremantle, with Roth acting as showrunner, Ann Bernier and Mark Gingras producing, and with the participation of Canada Media Fund and the Bell Fund. For Fremantle, Michela Di Mondo and Hilary Martin are executive producing.
