Irish unscripted production company Indiepics has hired the formerly London based showrunner, Eoin O’Shea for the new role of Head of International. O'Shea will be responsible for developing a new slate of films and series for international networks and streamers. Building on Indiepics’ strong position in the Irish market, he will develop relationships with international distributors and co-production partners. O'Shea will also assume Executive Producer duties. He will report into indiepics' MD, Conor Moloney.

After an early career working in-house at Irish national broadcaster, RTE, Eoin spent 15 years in London and Bristol working with some of the UK’s biggest independent unscripted producers, including Century Films, Arrow Media, Windfall Films, Raw TV, Blast TV and Icon Films.

Eoin O’Shea, head of international at Indiepics says: “Ireland is bursting with amazing stories, epic landscapes, and world-class storytellers. It’s the perfect place for making films and television shows. Indiepics has been doing it domestically for over 30 years. Drama has already proved it can be done on a global level and there are great strides being made in studio-based shows for the international market – why not factual and factual entertainment? I’m convinced there is space for new, world-class, unscripted producers, in Ireland. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some of the best doc and factual producers in the world. And I hope a little bit of their magic has rubbed off. There is every reason to think Ireland can be a significant player in this market. We have all the ingredients.”

Conor Moloney, MD at Indiepics adds: “We are hugely optimistic for the future of unscripted and Indiepics’ potential in a big global market. Eoin’s creative experience on premium content for some of the world’s biggest players make him a standout hire for us. Couple that with those wily Kilburn-to-Kerry roots and you have someone well placed to find, develop and produce great Irish content with truly global appeal.”
