Keshet International has completed two further pre-sales for the three-part premium history docuseries it co-developed with SandStone Global ahead of its official debut to international buyers at this year’s London TV Screenings. Having recently boarded the UK’s Channel Five as "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World"’s first broadcast partner, the global content producer and distributor has now pre-sold the 3x60’ ancient history series in Australia to public service broadcaster SBS, and in France to TF1 for its Histoire TV channel.

Kelly Wright, KI’s MD of Distribution, praised their partners: "We are thrilled to have already boarded three broadcast partners prior to unveiling this awe-inspiring ancient history series at the London TV Screenings. 'Seven Wonders of the Ancient World' is the jewel in our factual crown this Spring, and we’re delighted that Professor Bettany Hughes will be joining us in person to help showcase this gem to international buyers at our screening event on 26 February," commented.

Produced by award-winning British production company SandStone Global and presented by Professor Bettany Hughes OBE, "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World" (3x60’) is based on Bettany’s eponymous book, which has been in The Times’ Bestseller List since its release in October 2024 and has been translated into 10 languages to date, including American English, Bulgarian, Chinese, French, Quebec French, Greek, Romanian, Spanish, and Turkish.

In this slickly produced and ambitiously shot docuseries, accomplished historian and broadcaster Bettany follows in the footsteps of ancient warriors, pilgrims, emperors, and tourists on her epic journey in search of the Seven Wonders, traveling between these ancient marvels of human ingenuity to show why these incredible creations still resonate with us today.

By blending unparalleled archaeological access and new research with groundbreaking technologies and captivating storytelling, Bettany’s extensive road trip unravels the Seven Wonders’ secrets while also providing a thrilling adventure into the past. At ancient sites across the Mediterranean—including the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Colossus of Rhodes, the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, and the Statue of Zeus at Olympia—Bettany’s exclusive access and detailed research reveal information that she analyzes with experts using the very latest techniques and technologies. This enables her to create state-of-the-art digital reconstructions and interact with CGI replicas in the very spots where the wonders once stood.

Co-developed by SandStone Global and KI as part of their ongoing co-development partnership, "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World" was filmed across three continents at locations in Turkey, Greece, and Egypt. Produced by Shula Subramaniam, the three-part series is directed by David Lee, with SandStone Global’s Professor Bettany Hughes, Dixi Stewart, and Ruth Sessions executive producing, alongside Nick Catliff and KI’s Kelly Wright. "Seven Wonders of the Ancient World" will receive its world premiere on Channel 5 in Q2, 2025.
