Mediawan and Leonine Studios recently appointed Caroline Kusser to an Executive Vice President International Co-Production role. Her tenure was made effective on 1st January. The executive was also named EVP of World Sales at Leonine Studios. "We are very pleased that Caroline has joined our team. She is an expert with an excellent network and the ideal person for our planned internationalization and growth strategy in the TV co-production segment," The Co-CEOs of MEDIAWAN & LEONINE Studios, Pierre-Antoine Capton and Fred Kogel said.
In her new roles, Kusser will be tasked with all TV co-production responsbilities on an international and regional level. In total, she will oversee 60 production companies. Based in Los Angeles, she will also play a significant role in driving the development of the company's distribution team. Eden Rock Media’s Thomas Augsberger who has been Leonine Studios’ overall US consultant will continue to advise LEONINE Studios in the international feature film business. “Together with her, we will continue to develop our LEONINE Studios brand into a synonym for premium content in international distribution. Our high-end fiction productions for TV are in the very best hands with her," LEONINE Studios’ CEO Fred Kogel said.
The executive, who recently took on a Executive Vice President Co-Production & Distribution at Fremantle Media International role, is considered a high-profile figure in the international TV co-production and licensing business. Before joining the company, she contributed to various co-production deals with Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, Starz and NatGeo, among others, and spent over a decade at Red Arrow International in the US, among other big companies listed on her resume.

Before joining Fremantle Media International, where she was involved in closing co-production deals with Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, Starz and NatGeo, among others, Kusser worked for more than ten years at Red Arrow International in the US, most recently as Senior Vice President. Prior to that, she established her own distribution business under the label Carokusser, serving a number of high-profile clients, including ZDF Enterprises. Her previous positions include Bavaria Media Television and Beta Film in Germany.
