Mitre Studios appoints new Director of Production

Mitre Studios announces the appointment of Nadia Afiari as their new Director of Production. In the newly created role, Afiari will be responsible for production budgets, schedules and delivery of all productions across both digital and television output. She will also be working alongside the MD ensuing the overall financial health of the company.

Ed Sleeman, Managing Director of Mitre Studios, said: “We feel extremely lucky to have attracted Nadia to Mitre Studios. In a world of ‘fewer, bigger, better’, Nadia has an incredible track record in delivering big-swing-shows on time and on budget. She is therefore the final piece in the Mitre Studios jigsaw enabling us to confidently make any sized show for any network or streamer.”

This new hire underlines the ambitious vision Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, founders of the company, have for building Mitre Studios into a fully-fledged production powerhouse working across TV and digital content creation.

Prior to joining Mitre Studios as Director of Development, Afiari played a pivotal role in the success of major entertainment formats, including: "Too Hot to Handle" (Netflix), "Don't Rock the Boat" (ITV), "Celebs go Dating" (Channel 4), "The Jump" (Channel 4), "All Together Now" (BBC) and "Harry Heroes" (ITV). Additionally, she co-founded Black Leaders in TV, a community interest company dedicated to promoting diversity within the TV industry.
