Moonbug Entertainment has partnered with TelevisaUnivision to bring two of Moonbug’s hit IPs, "CoComelon" and "Blippi", to Mexico’s Canal 5 starting last week July 3, with CoComelon airing Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and Blippi airing on Fridays. This partnership marks the first time Moonbug content has aired on a major free-to-air broadcaster in Latin America. "CoComelon" and "Blippi" joins another of Moonbug’s IPs, "Oddbods", which has been successfully airing on Canal 5 since January 2023.

Moonbug was created on the basis of acquiring IPs and growing them into fully established global franchises with a priority on making its content as accessible as possible worldwide. This partnership strengthens Moonbug’s presence in the Mexican market, allowing content to reach a much wider audience and support Moonbug’s L&M and retail programs. To date, the company has partnered with fifteen best-in-class licensees covering a range of categories including, toys and games, scooters and skates, diapers, apparel, publishing, party goods, feeding, back-to-school, confectionery, and home and the program continues to grow.

“At Moonbug, our mission is to create inspiring and engaging content that every child from anywhere in the world can enjoy and relate to,” said Marta Braun, Head of Latin America at Moonbug Entertainment. “We are thrilled to team up with TelevisaUnivision to bring these beloved shows to Canal 5’s audience, and we’re looking forward to exploring new avenues to connect with families within the Mexican market.”

The deal brings 12 episodes of "Blippi", with some episodes being compilations of two individual ones, and 48 "CoComelon" episodes, with each one being a compilation of seven individual episodes.
