Increasingly, well-produced German drama series are proving themselves to have global resonance and several of the most successful have been brought to screen by Moritz Polter,"  Lisa Perrin, Managing Director, International production, ITV Studios, said. "We’re delighted to welcome him into the ITV Studios family and are excited about what we can achieve together.”

Polter has been named among Variety’s Top 10 Global Creatives to Watch and has shepherded many series to become critically acclaimed, award-winning works of fiction, collecting accolades such as the ROMY Award for Best Producer TV-Fiction, the ROMY Award Jury Prize and the GQ Men of the Year Award International TV (Das Boot, 2018), to name a selection“I am thrilled to join the ITV Studios family. Looking at the amazing producer talent which is already part of the business I am overjoyed to be given the opportunity to create my own label among such an illustrious Group," Polter said. "ITV Studios is a great partner which is looking for the same thing I am looking for: Bringing together exceptional talent behind and in front of the camera to create exciting, thought-provoking, and entertaining programs which reach local and global audiences alike.”

Before his role at Bavaria Fiction, Moritz Polter spent nine years with Tandem Productions, ultimately as Vice President of Production. In this capacity, he supervised numerous outstanding productions, including the internationally successful TV series Crossing Lines, starring Donald Sutherland and William Fichtner, and the critically acclaimed Spotless, a CANAL+ Création Originale series. As part of ITV Studios’ expansion drive in the global drama market, the major production and distribution group now includes the renowned global scripted producers Cattleya in Italy, Apple Tree Productions in Denmark, Tetra Media Studios France, and World Productions and Mammoth Screen in the UK.
