Newly appointed Mediawan Chief Distribution Officer Sally Habbershaw makes two key senior appointments

They are Dan Selig as Senior Vice President, Distribution – Americas, and Glen Hansen as Senior Vice President, Distribution – APAC. The execs will drive Mediawan’s expansion across the Americas and Asia-Pacific, focusing on premium content partnerships, format sales, and regional co-productions.

Sally Habbershaw, recently appointed Chief Distribution Officer, will lead Mediawan’s international distribution activities and oversee the group’s global content sales and acquisitions strategy. Her appointment marks a key milestone in the company’s international growth and strategic ambitions.

Mediawan’s core objective is to strengthen its English-language content pipeline and build impactful global partnerships. To support this mission, Habbershaw will be backed by Mediawan’s distribution teams in France and Germany, alongside two new senior appointments: Dan Selig as Senior Vice President, Distribution – Americas, and Glen Hansen as Senior Vice President, Distribution – APAC. They will drive Mediawan’s expansion across the Americas and Asia-Pacific, focusing on premium content partnerships, format sales, and regional co-productions.

As a global production and distribution powerhouse, Mediawan boasts a catalogue of over 30,000 hours of programming across all genres, including acclaimed titles such as "The Count of Monte Cristo", "Zorro", the global phenomenon "Miraculous Ladybug", and "Kabul", recently awarded the Prix Italia. Upcoming highlights include "Riot Women", Sally Wainwright’s new series, and Hugo Blick’s "California Avenue", both set to be showcased at MIPCOM. Mediawan produces more than 400 titles each year, including major successes such as "F1", the multi-Emmy Award-winning series "Adolescence" (Plan B), "Slow Horses" (See-Saw Films), and "Call My Agent!", one of the most adapted series worldwide.

Based in New York, Dan Selig most recently served as Senior Vice President, Content Sales at Boat Rocker, where he led sales and distribution strategy across the U.S. and Latin America. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Sales, Americas at Fifth Season. Earlier in his career, Selig spent 16 years at HBO, where he rose to Senior Vice President, International Distribution, overseeing the global rollout of some of the industry’s most acclaimed and innovative programming. He also held sales positions at Paramount Pictures and Eyemark Entertainment, the syndication arm of CBS Television.

Finally, based in Los Angeles, Glen Hansen served as Senior Vice President and Head of Sales, Asia-Pacific at A+E Global Media for over a decade. From Los Angeles, he led the APAC sales team and drove regional revenue growth through scripted and unscripted content sales, format licensing, and co-production deals. Previously, Hansen held senior roles including Senior Vice President of Sales, Acquisitions & Business Development, North America at Zodiak Rights (now Banijay Rights); Head of International Sales at FOX LOOK (a division of Fox Networks Group); and senior sales positions at Target Entertainment Group (UK) and Granada International (now ITV Global).
