Poland’s leading independent production company ATM Grupa has announced a leadership shake-up and a major new scripted project as it looks to expand its creative and strategic footprint both domestically and internationally. Przemysław Kmiotek has been appointed as the new CEO and President of the Management Board, succeeding Andrzej Muszyński, who stepped down after serving in the role since 2011. Kmiotek has been with the company for over two decades, rising through the ranks from assistant production manager to key leadership roles including Director of ATM Rozrywka and President of both ATM Studio and ATM System. Since 2020, he has served as Vice President of ATM Grupa, bringing both continuity and renewed strategic direction to the company’s top post.
Joining Kmiotek in the executive leadership is Urszula Piasecka, named Vice President of the Management Board. A seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in content licensing and international co-productions, Piasecka previously held senior roles at Kino Świat, Monolith Films, and public broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP). Her appointment underscores ATM Grupa’s commitment to expanding its global content partnerships and strengthening its international business development efforts.
In tandem with these executive moves, Maciej Grzywaczewski, former programming director at TVP1 and a previous Vice President at ATM Grupa, has returned to the company as an independent member of the Supervisory Board, replacing Artur Hoffman. Grzywaczewski’s reentry brings additional editorial expertise and industry insight to the company’s oversight structure.
The leadership announcements coincide with the unveiling of a major new project: the Polish adaptation of the hit Israeli legal drama "Your Honor," which has already been localized in multiple territories. ATM Grupa confirmed the new version—titled "Sędzia"—during the Content Warsaw market, positioning it as a tentpole drama for the upcoming season. The show explores the moral collapse of a respected judge when his son is involved in a hit-and-run, triggering a chain of ethical and legal dilemmas. Dariusz Gąsiorowski, who is producing the Polish version, described the project as “a story with deeply universal resonance, asking how far a parent would go to protect a child who has lost their way.” Sharon Levi, Managing Director of yes Studios, which distributes the format, added: “ATM Grupa is a fantastic partner, and we are thrilled to see how they will interpret and elevate ‘Your Honor’ for Polish audiences.”
These developments mark a strategic turning point for ATM Grupa as it seeks to reinforce its leadership position in Central and Eastern Europe while expanding its slate of high-quality, globally viable content.
