Propagate names Isabelle Azoulay as Executive VP and Head of formats

The former ITV Studios executive will oversee the LA-based producer-distributor's sales and acquisitions, as well as its global formats operations.

Propagate International recently appointed former ITV Studios employee, Isabelle Azoulay as Executive VP and head of formats. “Propagate International is experiencing robust growth globally across international sales, formats and production. Isabelle’s experience in scripted and non-scripted format sales and acquisitions will be a critical component in the next phase of our international growth. I am excited to bring her in as part of our international leadership team,” said Farrokh.

Based in Amsterdam, Azoulay will oversee Propagate’s global formats business, sales and acquisitions. She joins from ITV Studios Global Entertainment, where she was senior VP of licensing for unscripted in Europe and Latin America. Prior to that, Azoulay was senior VP of licensing at Talpa Global, overseeing unscripted formats in Europe and Latin America and scripted format sales worldwide. She also previously held roles at Calt Distribution and TF1 International.

Meanwhile, Propagate has promoted Catalina Ramirez to VP of sales and acquisitions, while upping Dan Thunell to director of sales and development for MENA and Eastern Europe. Based in LA, Ramirez joined Propagate last year and is the lead of partnerships among local Spanish-speaking production companies. She previously worked at Magnolia Pictures and Gunpowder & Sky. 

She joins the company from ITV Studios Global Entertainment where she was SVP of licensing for non-scripted for Europe and Latin America. She previously served as SVP of licensing at Talpa Global, overseeing non-scripted formats in Europe and Latin America and scripted format sales worldwide. She also held roles at Calt Distribution and TF1 International. “I look forward to their continued contribution to the expansion of our business,” Farrokh praised both for the role that they had plated in growing the company,said.
