QED International has acquired the international sales rights for Middleton Quinn Productions' Ant Middleton led action-thriller "Shelter", which is due to start production in July 2023 for 8 weeks. The film stars SAS Who Dares Wins Chief Instructor, and ex-British Forces Operator, Ant Middleton. Middleton, Kent Ambassador Mark Quinn and Tiernan Hanby are producers and Scott Vickers ("Matriarch") is the film’s writer and director.

Middleton is hitman Rob Shaw, who travels to a remote location after a distress call from his ex-wife. Upon arrival, he is met by his estranged father Jim, an ex-director of the Ministry of Defence, his ex-wife, her new husband and Rob’s two young daughters. Jim explains that a global nuclear event is imminent and invites Rob to join them in a bunker beneath the house. Rob rejects the invitation and attempts to leave just as the bombs begin to fall - he has no place or purpose in this new reality. However, when an anarchic gang of ex-soldiers take control of the bunker, his skills and dangerous mindset become the very thing the family needs.

Ant Middleton, says “The organic transition from television to film seems effortless and natural with this extremely experienced team behind me. It’s time to bring my unique skill set to life!"

Scott Vickers, adds “I’m thrilled to be working again with Jim Harvey and QED, so highly respected, with an incredible pedigree. QED immediately understood and believed in my vision for Shelter, the whole team was energised and excited when they read the script. They are a perfect fit for this project.”

Jim Harvey, EVP of QED International, concluded, “Scott is a fantastic director and we are very happy to work with him on Shelter. His vision is going to deliver and we can’t wait to share it with our international partners.”
