Sandbox Group and The Smurfs have teamed up to launch a new educational kids app: "The Smurfs - Educational Games."“We are really proud to have been selected by the Smurfs to bring to life a learning app with their iconic characters to be enjoyed by kids around the world," Shan Eisenberg, Chief Commercial Official of Sandbox Group said. The new Smurfs game, featuring the beloved blue characters, is available for iOS and Android devices in 5 different languages: Spanish, English, French, Italian and Portuguese. Free of charge for iOS and Android, the launch offers educational fun games for kids, a wide variety of educational games for children, including 10 mini-games, colorful graphics from the animated series, a simple and intuitive interface, and an appropriate environment to develop new early learning skills.
The new collection of mini-games was developed by Edujo, who specializes in developing educational mobile games for kids of all ages. The Spain-based company has under its belt over 100 educational games in collaboration with some of the biggest children’s brands like Masha and the Bear and Hello Kitty.
The new game celebrates the 65th anniversary of the classic cartoon. The launch will give young fans the chance to explore the Smurfs' Village and play 10 different mini-games covering a range of different learning areas. It aims to develop creativity, number recognition, hand-eye coordination, memory, and attention skills. The app includes activities such as painting, music, puzzles, numbers and counting, mazes, and well-known games like dominoes and word search.
