“The Floor”
Following the success of its first two seasons, Talpa Studios and Signal announced the return of "No Way Back" for a third season. Since its debut, the adventure reality show has proven to be one of SBS6’s strongest reality launches ever, delivering record-breaking performances and drawing in a younger audience. The first season, featuring unknown participants on a survival journey set in Norway, peaked at a 17.3% market share in the key 25-59 demographic. The second season, "No Way Back VIPS", set in Romania, performed even better, achieving an impressive average market share of 21% (including delayed viewing), nearly doubling the SBS6 channel average of 11.8%.
The show’s intense survival challenges and strategic reality gameplay have captivated Dutch audiences, attracting a significantly younger viewership with 53% of its viewers under 40 – a remarkable increase compared to the channel average. Given its overwhelming success, it’s no surprise that the third season will once again feature celebrities embarking on an unforgettable survival adventure. "No Way Back" was the first result of the strategic partnership between Talpa Studios and Signal.Stream.
Sebastian van Barneveld, Director Global Distribution at Talpa Studios, praised the format: "With each season, 'No Way Back' proves its strength, engaging viewers across generations. This format continues to push the boundaries of adventure reality, and its consistent success underscores its international potential," commented.
Wouter van der Pauw, founder of Signal.Stream, described the highlights of the title: “'No Way Back' stands out because it’s more than just physical survival - it’s a continuous mental battle between staying behind in the camp or pushing forward on the trail. This dynamic makes the show compelling for a broad and younger audience, blending high-stakes adventure with deeply personal choices," stated.
After the success of the first season of "No Way Back", where unknown Dutch participants experienced the survival adventure of a lifetime in Norway, in 2025, 14 Dutch celebrities venture into the rugged wilderness of Romania. Guided by a well-known ex-Special Forces member, they embark on a grueling 10-day-long trail in the Apuseni Mountains - with no less than 100,000 euros at stake! Under extremely harsh conditions, they face the most thrilling challenges. The trail is divided into several increasingly difficult stages. Four stages end at a survival camp. Here, the contestants must decide to either stay at the camp or continue. Each camp is worth a specific amount of money, and if a contestant(s) stays and survives until the last day, the money this camp is worth is theirs to keep. The four camps together are worth 50,000 euros, but life in the camps is extremely tough – and this year, there’s a twist: one of the camps is worth nothing. Anything is possible, but one thing is certain: once you've made a choice, there's "No Way Back".
The company also announced the expansion of its globally acclaimed quiz format "The Floor". Polish viewers will soon experience the thrill of this hit show as it premieres on TVN, one of Poland’s leading broadcasters. Production will take place at Talpa Studios’ state-of-the-art Dutch hub in the spring of 2025, ensuring the same high-quality standards that have made the format a global success. Set to air weekly in prime time, "The Floor’s" expansion to Poland further cements its status as one of the fastest-growing and most exciting formats in global television.
Lidia Kazen, TVN Television Channel Director, Warner Bros. Discovery Poland, celebrated the deal: “We are thrilled to bring "The Floor" to TVN, adding yet another must-watch hit to our lineup. As one of the top entertainment networks in the country, we’re committed to delivering electrifying, can’t-miss programming - and this game show is set to keep audiences on the edge of their seats," expressed.
This game show features five contestants standing on a high platform over a swimming pool, ten exciting quiz questions, and six giant balls. In each episode, a team of five friends, family members, or colleagues competes for a cash prize by answering one quiz question after another. For each team, the key is to stay as complete as possible for as long as possible since the tenth and final question is worth a huge cash prize.
