Tokyo Broadcasting System Television (TBS) has announced that it has concluded remake option contracts for two works, "Forget Love" and "Tower of Sand" with Turkish production company Fabri̇ka Yapim brokered by Hece Medya. This contract opens new doors for content production in the Turkish market.

"Forget Love" is a love story directed by hit-maker Yukihiko Tsutsumi, created by Yukari Tatsui, an established scriptwriter renowned in the love romance genre. It features a romance between a cold-hearted but successful host and a blind young woman who has closed her heart due to lack of affection from her father. The story about this struggling couple slowly falling in love left a huge impact on the Japanese audience. The title has successfully been adapted in South Korea as a film/TV series. Since this deal is the second option contract for "Forget Love" in Turkey, there is significant interest whether future development with Fabri̇ka Yapim will finally lead to a Turkish version broadcast.

"Tower of Sand" is an original suspense drama about a housewife who moves into a high-rise apartment controlled by celebrities with their own rules, a mysterious neighbor who eerily watches the protagonist…and a series of mysterious infant disappearances happening around her. Screenplay written by Natsuko Ikeda, this work became a topic of conversation among viewers for its gripping development until the very end.

Fabri̇ka Yapim , the Turkish company that acquired the remake rights for these two works, was established in 2015 and has a track record of producing numerous works that resonate with Turkish audiences. Öner Arslanel, CEO of Fabri̇ka Yapim, stated: “We are thrilled to collaborate with TBS and look forward to building a long-term partnership. We see ‘Forget Love’ and ‘Tower of Sand’ as the first of many joint projects we will work on with TBS this year. We believe these powerful, female-driven narratives will resonate deeply with audiences in our country, and we are eager to bring many more inspiring stories to Turkish viewers in the near future together.”

Hece Medya’s Managing Partner, Ceren Ergenekon, added: “TBS offers a wealth of impactful content that we look forward to bringing to Turkey. We believe that Fabri̇ka Yapim ,’s unique storytelling vision, paired with TBS’s expertly crafted narratives, will be a perfect fit for both Turkish and international audiences. We are thrilled to unite these two creative forces in this collaboration.”

Jun Fukai, General Manager of the Global Business Development Department at TBS, concluded: "We are very pleased that the contract with Fabri̇ka Yapim has been concluded through Hece Medya. We are very excited to see the local versions of TBS's popular series broadcast in Turkey.”
