"Hot ones"
Tresor Productions and Endgame Entertainment are launching the internationally acclaimed US show "Hot Ones" in Germany for the first time. The German version will premiere exclusively on YouTube. The rights to adapt the cult celebrity interview format were acquired by Tresor Productions, a German unscripted production company under Keshet International. Originally created by Chris Schonberger for First We Feast, "Hot Ones" is known for combining spicy chicken wings with candid celebrity interviews.
Together with Endgame Entertainment, Tresor will produce and release up to twenty 30-minute episodes of the German edition of what has been dubbed the internet’s hottest interview series. The German version is executive produced by Tresor’s Axel Kühn and Endgame’s Marvin Endres, with showrunner Daniel Zobel, known for his work on "X Factor" and "Dancing with the Stars". Hosting the show is EMMVEE, a popular live comedian whose improvisational skills and sharp humor bring a unique energy to the format. The first season is sponsored by Uber Eats, through a partnership with InSocial Media.
Axel Kühn, Managing Director at Tresor Productions, praised the format: “'Hot Ones' has always been a special format to us. The seemingly simple idea of eating insanely spicy chicken wings during an interview has taken celebrity conversations to a whole new level. We’re proud to be producing the German version exclusively for YouTube – together with Endgame Entertainment and InSocial Media," noted.
Meanwhile, Marvin Endres, Managing Director at Endgame Entertainment, described it as a pop culture event, “‘Hot Ones’ isn’t just an interview show – it’s a pop culture event. We’re finally bringing this global hype to Germany, combining deep conversations with real thrills. Together with Tresor TV and our agency Endgame Entertainment, we’re creating a stage where stars truly burn – in the best way. Thanks to our partners at InSocial Media, we’re also delivering creative brand integrations that feel seamless and organic," stated.
More than just a celebrity interview series, "Hot Ones" is a pop culture phenomenon that fuses food challenges with in-depth conversations. As guests eat progressively spicier wings, they answer increasingly personal and surprising questions. This unusual combination has made for emotional, humorous, and genuinely memorable moments that stand apart from typical publicity interviews.
Hosted by Sean Evans, the original US version of "Hot Ones" has run for 27 seasons and more than 360 episodes, accumulating over 2.6 billion views globally. Episodes featuring stars like Dakota Johnson, Gordon Ramsay, Jennifer Lawrence, Billie Eilish, and Shaquille O’Neal have each drawn up to 100 million views. With 14.8 million subscribers on the First We Feast YouTube channel, the show has achieved cult status through viral memes, social media buzz, and widespread media coverage. Since its 2015 debut, it has received two Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show and Host.
Tresor Productions, part of Keshet International’s network of global production hubs, is known for delivering premium content to German-speaking audiences. The company specializes in local adaptations of international entertainment formats, including "The Real Housewives of Munich" for RTL+ and "I Can See Your Voice" for RTL.
