WarnerMedia Entertainment has made plans to expand its leadership department. Liz Lundy has been appointed to Executive Vice President and Chief Research Officer WarnerMedia and Entertainment and Direct-to-Consumer, and Noelle Huynh was named Vice President of Research. “Their extensive expertise and knowledge of the market landscape, especially for SVOD and streaming, are integral to informing our business strategies as we continue to evolve the platform and its offering,” said Cheryl Idell, EVP and Chief Research Officer, WarnerMedia Entertainment and Direct-to-Consumer.
Huynh’s new duties will consist of designing and implementing research that addresses brand, content, and market strategies for HBO Max. Huynh will be responsible for overseeing research for optimizing service offerings that evaluate partnership opportunities, drives subscriber acquisition and retention, and additional in-depth custom research efforts to help achieve short and long-term business goals.
Idell’s team focuses on all areas of research across WarnerMedia Entertainment, including viewership, content, product, strategic market research, insights, and analytics. They also handled all aspects of research leading up to the launch of HBO Max, which made its highly anticipated debut this May.
Huynh previously worked at Facebook Marketing Research where she conducted global market research to develop marketing and communications strategies. Before that, she directed research strategy and insights at Hulu and was tasked with a wide range of consumer research and marketing analytics functions.
Lundi spent five years at Netflix working on numerous global original series and films. She recently worked in Amsterdam, on a content and consumer research project for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. Lundi also gained experience at NBCUniversal, managing consumer insights for brands such as E!, E! Online, Esquire, and Oxygen.
