wedotv get.factual
Free streaming sports and entertainment network wedotv teams up with ZDF Studios to launch two new channels across all platforms, wedotv get.factual for the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) markets and Time2Rlx, which will be available to platforms worldwide.
“It is an honor to launch channels with ZDF Studios’ top-quality content,” said wedotv’s Philipp Rotermund, CEO & Founder of wedotv. “MENA is one of the fastest-growing markets in the world for streaming services so we are excited to launch wedotv get.factual and are already in discussions with the leading TV platforms serving the region. Additionally, Time2Rlx has the kind of global appeal that defies cultural and language barriers. It’s a unique proposition that I think will resonate with viewers around the world.”
wedotv get.factual will feature nonfiction content from ZDF Studios’ vast library of documentary and lifestyle programming. The channel will launch with such popular multi-part series as "Ancient Apocalypse", "Profession: Queen!", "The Abyss: Rise and Fall of the Nazis", "Cold Case", "Beyond the Myth", "Women Who Made History", "The Ascent of Civilization", "Secrets of the Bible", "Missing Link", "Great Inventions", and many more. All shows will be localized for each specific market within the MENA region.
Time2Rlx is a channel designed to provide a calming effect for viewers by featuring beautiful environmental scenes - landscapes, ocean waves, sunny tropical beaches, tranquil snowy vistas, etc. - all shot in 4K and up to 8K and accompanied by ambient, environmental sounds or a gentle musical soundtrack.
“By creating new channels, we are realizing a goal we’ve had for some time. Identifying the right brand and content for the different markets is a challenge and we were able to find a great partner to supplement our vision for these channels. Our partner wedotv has exactly the level of experience, expertise, and service we needed. We are very excited about the initial reaction to the channels and look forward to a very productive year,” said Linette Zaulich, Director Unscripted, ZDF Studios.
