The network renewed the license for the four episodes of this very unique and poignant documentary that reveals the “holocaust by bullets”.
Prior to NATPE market in Miami, Prime Entertainment Group has announced a new deal with Discovery Communications, owned American Heroes Channel in North America, for its high profile historical mini-series “Einsatzgruppen: The Nazi Death Squads” (4x52’).
The network renewed the license of the four episodes series of this very unique and poignant documentary that reveals the “holocaust by bullets”, a virtually unknown mass massacre at the beginning of WWII where nearly two million men, woman and children were shot to death by Einsatzgruppen firing squads - Nazi mobile execution units in the East of Europe and the Baltics. The series has already been licensed by such networks as AMC Central Europe, RAI, POLSAT, PBS America, RMC, History Channel and Netflix.
Alexandra Marguerite, Head of Sales at PRIME says “We are very happy to renew our collaboration with Discovery Communications’ American Heroes Channel. We’ve had the chance to work with other channels of the group like Velocity airing several seasons of successful series ‘Graveyard Carz.’ ‘Einsatzguppen’ is an exceptional and very strong documentary. Thanks to the unique archive materials and testimonials of the survivors of those tragic events, the series has been highly acclaimed internationally. Many prestigious channels acquired it from us, and it continues spreading across the globe as more and more networks and platforms wish to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Allies victory over Nazis and the end of WW2 in May 2020".
