Last year, Disney company acquired film and television assets of FOX for USD $ 71 billion, thus reaching one of the most significant deals in the media industry, after imposing itself above the media giant Comcast Corp. Now, Grupo Televisa has just won an injunction filed to Walt Disney Co and the acquisition of Twenty-First Century Fox assets in Mexico, but the local market regulating agency said that said mandate would not stop the transaction

Televisa requested the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) to review the acquisition in case the Disney-Fox alliance can generate an “illegal concentration” in the communications market of the country, but also assured that said the injuction has “ limited implications”. "We are very pleased that the court ordered a full review of the alliance, in view of the arguments we presented almost a year ago," Televisa said in a statement.

But the IFT says that the court's decision does not relate to the accusations of “market concentration”, and called it “not definitive”, it also said that for no reason it will it stop the union between the two companies. Televisa, since last year, has introduced different legal  initiatives regarding the impact of this alliance on the competition of the Mexican market.
