Amazon Prime Video recently revealed the new Italian Amazon Original unscripted series, “The Ferragnez - The Series.” Starring digital entrepreneur Chiara Ferragni and Fedez, the season is set to launch exclusively on the platform. “The last year has been full of emotions in both our professional and personal lives,” starring acts Chiara Ferragni and Fedez expressed."This past year saw the Ambrogino d’Oro award, the Sanremo Music Festival, Vittoria’s birth, the start of the pandemic which, like for everyone, is continuing to impact our daily lives. With over 24 milllion follower on her Instagram platform, fashion icon, Ferragni has been credited with attracting a large audience for the title. The celebrity was ranked number one in the “Most Powerful Influencers in Fashion” list by Forbes. Alongside her is contestant from popular Amazon Original series “Celebrity Hunted - Caccia all'Uomo” Season 1, and the host of the hugely-successful “LOL – Chi ride è fuori” Season 1 Fedez, a versatile artist with over 60 platinum records and 12 million Instagram followers. The eight-part series, produced by Banijay Italia for Amazon Studios, will launch exclusively on Prime Video in 240 countries and territories worldwide in December 2021. “This new fantastic Italian Amazon Original production is the latest example of our commitment and investment in the Italian creative community,” said Georgia Brown, head of European Originals, Amazon Studios. “I am sure The Ferragnez - The Series will entertain Prime Video’s audiences in Italy and around the world by offering an unprecedented perspective on this iconic couple.”
The couple, also known as the Ferragnez unravelled their stories through a Amazon Original docu-reality series filmed between last year and this year, giving an insight on her secong pregnancy and Fedez's paritcipation at the worldwide known Sanremo Music Festival. The series will also feature their eldest son, little Leone, their parents, Chiara’s sisters Valentina and Francesca and their partners, Fedez’s grandmother Luciana, and many other characters close to the couple, drawing a full family portrait. “The Ferragnez is an authentic, funny, intimate, heartfelt, and entertaining series which offers Prime Video viewers a unique and exclusive look into Chiara, Fedez, and their whole family,” explained Nicole Morganti, head of Amazon Originals, Italy.
As Fedez, a contestant in season one of "Celebrity Hunted – Caccia all’Uomo," the first Italian Amazon Original show, and LOL: Chi ride è fuori’s referee and host, continues his tenure as embassador of the major streamer, the series continues its ongoing collaboration with the company. Chiara served as one of the judges in the first season of Making the Cut, the Amazon Original fashion competition presented by Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn, and contributes to the documentary Chiara Ferragni Unposted, presented in 2019 at the Venice Film Festival and available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. “We are very happy to continue our collaboration with Amazon Prime Video. Joining other Italian titles such as "Caccia all’uomo," "Fleabag," and "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," among many others, the large streaming outlet has secured various other licensed content, such as the live coverage in Italy of the 16 top Wednesday night matches of the UEFA Champions League, as well as the UEFA Super Cup, for three seasons from 2021/22. Other Italian Amazon Original series announced include "Dinner Club," "Vita da Carlo," "All or Nothing: Juventus," "Bang Bang Baby," "The Bad Guy,'" '"Everybody Loves Diamonds" and "Prisma." “We are incredibly proud to tell the story of one of the most known Italian families, from a totally new perspective, away from the world of social media.
