Mediterraneo Mediaset España Group announced that, after a warm welcome in Free TV, "The Marquess” has recently started its second window on Amazon Prime Video in Spain. The prime-time series turned out to be the most watched fiction on Telecinco this year, scoring on average a 11,2% and gathering more than 1 million viewers per episode. Now, the true crime fiction based on real events is ranked #1 in Spain's Prime Video Top 10.

Inspired by real events that took place in post-Franco Spain, the series relates the investigation of Onofre, a journalist that returns to his hometown two years after a series of murders. Leaping back and forth between 1975, when the crime was committed, and 1977, his investigation uncovers a dark secret involving a corrupt aristocrat and a clash of values and societal shifts between two Spains: the one that fights for the future and the one that clings to the past.

Apart from the fiction, Mediterraneo also produced “Crime Story: The Galindos” (4x60’) an interesting true crime docu-series that revisits the same case with meticulous research and exclusive interviews. The documentary is still ranked in Prime Video’s Top 10 one month after its release.
