"Rebelde Way"
After titles such as "The Good Girls Club," "Praxx," "The Medalists," "The List," and "Red Moon," "Rebelde Way" is now joining the Prime Video catalogue, as part of an ongoing collaboration with SIC to make its productions available to wider audiences. The series captivated a generation of viewers with its tales of friendship, rivalry, love, and personal growth, becoming an icon of teen fiction in Portugal.
Broadcast between 2008 and 2009 on SIC, and currently available on the OPTO SIC streaming platform, "Rebelde Way" is an adaptation of the Argentine series of the same name. With 251 episodes, it follows the story of a group of teenage students at a boarding school – Prestige – where friendships and conflicts define the school year. The four main characters, Mia, Pedro, Lisa, and Manuel, form a rock band despite their parents' disapproval. They fight to pursue their dreams and express their individuality, challenging social expectations and conventions.
The launch of "Rebelde Way" on Prime Video reinforces the presence of SIC content on the platform and represents another strategic step in increasing the visibility and reach of these productions among increasingly diverse audiences. "Rebelde Way" will be available on Prime Video starting July 11th.
It is also worth noting that the long-awaited return of "Red Moon: New Generation," an OPTO SIC and Prime Video exclusive, is scheduled for later this year. It marks the revival of one of the most iconic universes in teen fiction and promises to carry forward the success of the original series.
