“Tormento”
FilmSharks has secured international sales rights for the horror title “Tormento,” produced by TelevisaUnivision's Videocine and BH5 Studios, one of Mexico’s most successful companies in the horror genre, with FilmSharks CEO Guido Rud serving as executive producer.
The deal was negotiated by Guido Rud and Sofía Terán (FilmSharks), together with María del Mar Soberanes and Sofía Legarreta (Videocine), and FilmSharks launched international sales at AFM.
Guido Rud commented: “Estamos muy contentos de colaborar nuevamente con Videocine y BH5 Studios, esta vez como productor ejecutivo y agente de ventas. Uno de los mayores estrenos de cine de género del año. La propiedad intelectual y la película son éxitos de taquilla increíbles dentro del género, y esperamos que tengan una gran acogida en taquilla.”
“Tormento” premiered on November 13 in theaters across Mexico and tells the story of an exhausted security guard who, after leaving her shift at a shopping mall, runs over a stranger and flees. The next day, she is transferred to a morgue, where guilt and terror haunt her throughout the night.
