Kanal D International will present the hit titles of Kanal D “Ruthless City,” “Love Trap” and upcoming new premium drama “Azize & Hekimoglu” at MIP Cancun 2019. Minutes after its premiere at Kanal D's screen on November 19, “Azize” will meet the global buyers in Cancun at the Kanal D International Party.
Starring Hande Ercel & Bugra Gulsoy and produced by Süreç Film, “Azize” is the story of love and revenge between a young nurse with a destroyed family and the kind-hearted youngest son of the mafia family causing the destruction of her family.
“Ruthless City,” Kanal D’s premium drama produced by Avşar Film, which had its debut in April at MIPTV and will be soon meeting the global audience in many countries, will be presented in Cancun with its second season. The story gives a duality governed by the balance of light and darkness within each person.
ARC Film’s rating buster romantic comedy “Love Trap,” which has started in June with a great success by carrying Kanal D to the top of the rating charts, will be the second content which will be presented in Cancun. The increasing tension of the love between two protagonists will put the couple among “the world’s unforgettable sweethearts”.
Furthermore, the local version of hit US scripted series “House M.D.,” from Karga Seven Pictures Turkey, starring acclaimed actor Timucin Esen and titled “Hekimoglu,” will also be presented in MIP Cancun. Starring Hugh Laurie throughout its eight seasons, the original US version of the drama won five Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globes and a Peabody Award.
