SERIES MANIA 2021 LAUNCHES ITS CALLS FOR SERIES AND PROJECTS

Looking forward to welcoming everyone to Lille next year, Laurence Herszberg, founder and general director of Series Mania, has announced the “Call for Series” for the Series Mania Festival (March 19-27, 2021), while at the same time announcing the “Call for Projects” for the industry arm of the Festival, the Series Mania Forum (March 23-25, 2021). Both have a deadline of January 6th to submit projects.

“From the start of Series Mania, we have held to our mission of ‘Where series begin.’ We have found the best emerging talent in Europe, and around the world, and have helped to create series that are making headlines today,” commented Herszberg. “And now, with the emergence of new working methods resulting from COVID-19, we have come to increasing value festivals as essential face-to-face networking events, while at the same time realizing the importance of online tools such as our Series Mania Digital.  Taken together, our live festival and online platform are certain to make Series Mania 2021 the best event yet.”

On the Festival side, 60 series will be selected to be part of the Series Mania program. At the end of the nine-day Festival, 11 prizes will be awarded by the various juries during the closing ceremony.  To submit online, please go to https://film.series-mania.festicine.fr/en. 

On the Forum side, producers can submit their projects for the Forum’s annual Co-Pro Pitching Sessions.  From these submissions, 16 projects will be selected to participate and to be pitched in front of decision-makers of the TV industry. The best project presented during the Co-Pro Pitching Sessions will be awarded a 50,000€ prize, as determined by a professional jury of leading industry executives.
