Realscreen Summit kicked off in Miami as one of the largest and most influential global unscripted industry gatherings. The event started the week and will also see NATPE Global happening on Wednesday, when both events overlap. Across both events, there are more than 2,350 registered delegates, with more than 120 exhibitors and sponsors.
Over 1,200 delegates attend the Realscreen Summit, of which 83% are from North America and 12% are from Europe/UK, with over 25 countries represented. The number of delegates for the Realscreen Summit increased by 11%. For NATPE Global, there are around 1,700 delegates from 54 countries, with over 700 registered as buyers and a 13% increase in attendance over last year. More producers attending NATPE have increased partnerships and increased their exhibitor base. Over 550 delegates are attending both events.
On Tuesday 4th, Realscreen will have the "Realscreen Awards Ceremony," recognizing outstanding content from around the world in the industry’s global celebration of excellence in non-fiction and unscripted entertainment. Hosted by unscripted producer, podcast host, and on-air personality Carlos King (OWN’s Love & Marriage franchise, WE TV’s Bold & Bougie, the “Reality with the King” podcast). In addition, the event will also celebrate Cris Abrego, a visionary leader and television executive who pioneered the celeb-reality genre early in his career, ushering in a new era of talent-led unscripted storytelling.
The highlight of Wednesday, the 5th, is the "NATPE Honors Awards Gala," a new celebration recognizing trailblazing individuals whose creativity and visionary leadership are reshaping the entertainment industry. It is hosted by Emmy Award-winning Entertainment Tonight anchor Nischelle Turner. The inaugural NATPE Honors awardees include Paul Buccieri (President & Chairman, A+E Networks Group), Luis Fernández (Chairman, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises), Kelly Day (Vice President International, Prime Video), Brian Tannenbaum (Head of Originals, Roku Media), Ri-Karlo Handy (CEO & FOUNDER, Handy Foundation)
Thursday 6th will be the day for the "WAWA Woman of the Year," which honors an individual who exemplifies leadership, ethics, diversity, and commitment - the organization's core values. Past recipients include notable leaders such as Blanca Ponce, Analida Lopez, Cecilia Galeano, Cynthia Hudson, Giselle Gonzalez, Carmen Larios, Selina Nederhand and Fidela Navarro.
