"Anything Goes" breaks record as Globo’s highest-grossing primetime telenovela in history

In just three months on air, "Anything Goes" has already reached over 125 million people, impacting nearly 80% of Brazilian households. On Globoplay, it led to a 12% increase in on-demand telenovela consumption.

Currently airing in TV Globo’s, "Anything Goes'" has become the highest-grossing primetime telenovela in the network’s history in Brazil, featuring 16 brands in 76 branded content activations. Partners include names like BYD, Corona, Uber, Amazon, Paramount, and L’Oréal. Beyond advertising, "Anything Goes" has also captivated viewers: the show hit a ratings record on July 7th, during a major confrontation between the lead characters, reaching a national average of 26 points, a 22% increase over the previous telenovela. The title will soon be available to international markets.

It’s now the platform’s most-watched content, also boosting viewership of the original 1988 version, which tripled in streams and is now ranked in the Top 3 most-watched titles on Globoplay.

The plot explores current topics that resonate with a wide range of viewers, including younger audiences and male demographics, for example. We believe that, just like in Brazil, the international market will also connect with and embrace 'Anything Goes', expressed.

As part of TV Globo’s 60th anniversary celebration, "Anything Goes" brings a modern take on one of Brazil’s most iconic telenovelas, originally written by Gilberto Braga, Aguinaldo Silva, and Leonor Bassères, and first aired in 1988. The 2025 version is penned by Manuela Dias ("A Mother's Love", "Justice") and directed by Paulo Silvestrini ("Never Give Up"). The story follows a mother and daughter with opposing views on how to succeed in life, guiding the audience through a compelling journey of ethics, integrity, and personal values, blended with moral dilemmas and romance. The cast features top Brazilian stars such as Taís Araújo ("A Mother's Love"), Cauã Reymond ("Brazil Avenue"), Paolla Oliveira ("Sweet Diva"), Humberto Carrão ("All the Flowers"), and Renato Góes ("Pantanal").
