In its latest study about SVOD demand in Colombia, Parrot Analytics revealed which were the most outstanding series in the country during May. The company contextualized each title within the market by stating the show's performance as different from the average demand for a series in the market. A difference of 1x represents the market average and 10x means a series is ten times more in demand than the average TV show in this market.

“Moon Knight” topped the ranking of most in-demand streaming original series in Colombia for the month of May, with 13.09 times the demand of the average show. Furthermore, “Stranger Things” made a comeback in monthly rankings after volume one of its fourth season premiered on March 27, propelling the series up the list to take over second position with 11.18 times the average series demand. The sci-fi series had exceptionally strong pre-release and post-release demand, both in Colombia and worldwide.

Disney+'s latest Star Wars show, “Obi-Wan Kenobi” was a new entrant in the monthly rankings after it premiered on May 27. It has been an intense month for sci-fi fans with both “Stranger Things” and “Obi-Wan Kenobi” premiering on the same day. However, according to Parrot, while both shows have big fandoms, the demand for “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is likely to beat “Stranger Things” in the weeks after their premieres. As for the month of May, “Obi-Wan Kenobi” had 5.32 times the average series demand in Colombia.

Prime Video's “The Boys” also had an increase in demand and made its appearance in the monthly rankings in Colombia with 3.42 times the demand of the average series. The superhero series' third season premiered on June 3, and has had a strong performance since. Towards the end of May, strong pre-release demand was also observed for “The Boys,” which is a trend often noticed for returning shows as fans tune in to recap and brush up on the storylines.

Rounding out the top ten list are two homegrown shows from Netflix: “Pálpito” (The Marked Heart) and “Distrito Salvaje” took ninth and tenth place in the rankings, respectively. Robust demand has been observed in Colombia for the thriller series “Pálpito” since it first premiered on April 20. In fact, for the month of May, the show recorded 3.38 times the average series demand, just above “Distrito Salvaje” which had 3.35 times the demand of the average series.
