In this newly created role, the executive will help to set and lead Channel 4’s streaming operations, product team and roadmap, with the goal to make Channel 4 the world’s first public service streamer.
Channel 4 delivered a three-fold year-on-year increase in UK viewing of full episodes of TV shows on YouTube in Q1, and its made-for-social network Channel 4.0.
The rise was boosted by returning favorites and a slate of innovative new shows. Channel 4 streaming reached more young viewers (16-34) than any other commercially funded broadcaster.
The biennial event will take place on Tuesday 17th September and has secured high-profile speakers including Tim Davie (BBC), Alex Mahon (Channel 4), Carolyn McCall (ITV) and Ted Sarandos (Netflix).
