Cineflix Rights has closed a deal with Hulu for “Rebecca,” the fast-paced, eight-part crime drama set in Paris and produced by Elephant for TF1. The deal follows recent sales of the series to Directv Latin America and Sky Brasil.
Both parties are now optimistic a deal could pass regulatory muster as concerns about the market power of the struggling companies have waned, the New York Post reported.
The deals include premium programming across the distributor’s factual and specialist factual categories to buyers across Latin American territories including Directv, Directv Go, Sky Brazil, Globosat and AMC Networks International.
With the completion of the customary acquisition closing procedures, effective November 15, the company took ownership of 100% of the equity of Vrio, Directv Latin America’s parent company.
