SPI/FilmBox has teamed up with Struum, the new breed of streaming service created by senior-level Disney and Discovery executives, and backed by a multi-million-dollar investment from former Disney CEO Michael Eisner.
The service will offer access to thousands of popular VOD titles and 8+ live channels, designed to combine digital and linear together. Other features such as multi-screen availability and customized selections based on preferences are also set to be added.
SPI/FilmBox and 2BENAMED have signed an agreement, which renders the latter the distributor of SPI’s specially curated SVOD packages and localized linear channels in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Peru and Uruguay.
SPI International unveils that a comprehensive revamp is underway for its flagship channel FilmBox, which includes content acquisitions from major studios and the launch of a new graphics package.
The service merges linear and on-demand experience through AI-powered linear channels and an extensive selection of VOD content. FilmBox Plus is expected to launch worldwide later this year and will replace FilmBox Live.
