Vivendi is planning to make a bid for publishing and travel retail giant Lagardère if regulators approve its plan to buy out Amber Capital’s stake, a deal that would create one of Europe’s biggest media companies.

Mediawan, one of the main independent content studios in Europe, announced the completion of the acquisition of Lagardère Studios, a key player in the creation, production, distribution and management of audiovisual content in Europe.

The company has signed an international distribution deal with CBC&Radio-Canada Distribution for Troubled Waters, a police drama series produced by Productions Bliktv and KOTV for Radio-Canada. 

The French company has acquired the drama series rights for the worldwide distribution outside France and Canada.

Bad House and Next Venture films team up to develop the new animated show created by writer and director Assaf Machnes and famous illustrator Amit Shimoni.
