After weeks of speculation, France Télévisions, M6 and TF1 groups officially announced their decision to close their joint venture streaming platform Salto.

RTL Group has decided to keep its controlling stake in Groupe M6. The decision follows a review of strategic options in which the company determined that the legal risks and uncertainties of a move like this were too high.

German media group Bertelsmann has put its French television business M6 up for sale after the competition regulator blocked plans for a merger with TF1.
