Fremantle has taken the production rights to “The Masked Dancer” in 29 territories across Europe, The Middle East and Africa. The latest hit guessing dance competition is a spin-off format of “The Masked Singer,” originally created by MBC, South Korea.
MBC Group, one of the biggest Middle East broadcasters, announced that its current CEO, Marc Antoine d’Halluin, has stepped down, and that he is going to be replaced by his predecessor, Sam Barnett.
The titles include “Ruthless City,” “Flames Of Desire,” “Meryem,” “Wounded Love,” “Kuzey & Guney,” and “For My Son.” The content was produced by Ulsan MBC, TMC Film, among others, and are aimed at a global audience.
ZDF's Director of Drama Yuliya Fischer was responsible for brokering the deal for the shows, “Bro/Broen,” and “The Crimson Rivers." The series have been sold to numerous channels and SVOD platforms.
