Lionsgate reported results for its first quarter fiscal 2024, and revealed that its brand Starz made a strategic decision to exit Latin America by December 31 and focus its operations on the United States, UK and Canada.
The terms of the split were noted in a public Form 10 filed by the company, referring to the two divisions as “New Lionsgate” and “New Starz," one For Film And TV Production, and one focusing on Starz.
The bundle arrangement is part of a new long-term deal between Starz and Amazon and will provide streamers with more entertainment options at $11.99 per month.
