CORONAVIRUS: LICENSING EXPO IN LAS VEGAS POSTPONED UNTIL AUGUST

All exhibition booking and visitor pre-registrations for the event, originally schedule for May 2020, will automatically be transferred to the event’s new date. The company will discuss rescheduling details with exhibitors and partners.

The licensing trade show Licensing Expo, originally scheduled for May 2020, will now be held on August 11th-13th at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. All exhibition bookings and visitor pre-registration will automatically be changed to the event’s new dates and further updates will be given to the attendees over the next several weeks.

The decision was made as a result of an agreement with exhibitors and other stakeholders and is thought to be the most appropriate for everyone involved. “We have been closely following developments since COVID–19 began spreading, and we have consistently been mindful of its potential impact on global events like ours,” Vice President of Licensing Informa Markets Anna Knight said. “With the help, cooperation and partnership we have with MGM Resorts, we have obtained favorable dates to reschedule the event and we hope this will serve as an opportunity for the industry to regather in August.”

Knight ensured that the company will consult with exhibitors and partners to discuss rescheduling details, answer inquiries, and ensure they can organize the event the same way as originally planned. “Licensing International fully supports the decision to reschedule Licensing Expo,” said President of Licensing International, Maura Regan. “This new date allows our members and the industry some much needed time to regroup and deal with these challenging circumstances, and above all to protect the health of our community and those around us.”
